- Vision
Industrial Engineering Department has a vision that is formulated based on the vision of the Faculty of Science and Technology. The department’s vision is:
“To become an excellent and a leading educational institution in Industrial Engineering field, based on the Islamic values”
This vision is the manifestation of the department's vision based on the Industrial Engineering’s core competence and the characteristics of University of Islamic State (Universitas Islam Negeri) Sunan Kalijaga). The department focuses on the integration aspect of both the industrial engineering field and the Islamic field.
The word “excellent” in the vision shows a determination of the Industrial Engineering Department, as one of the best educational providers, that already has an “A” or excellence score from Indonesian accreditation (BAN-PT) in 2018, as well as having a specialty in integrating Islamic values with an industrial engineering field, especially in the education, research, and community service activities.
The word “leading” in the vision can be translated as the future targets of the department. These targets are establishing the Magister Study Program of Industrial Engineering, achieving an international accreditation, which is IABEE accreditation (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education), as well as maintaining the national accreditation (BAN-PT). Furthermore, the department can strive to have a strong and sustainable relationship with industries, governments, and other educational institutions within both national and international scopes. These targets are a part of efforts to create a solid U-I-G relationship (University, Industry, and Government).
